Samsung i620 Review
The Samsung i620 is compact slider type smartphone, which means that it’s full QWERTY slides down. It measures in at 94.9 x 59.3 x 16.3 mm and weighing 126.2 grams. That’s small and light enough to fit in your pocket comfortably. It comes in several colors, including silver, black and pink. The i620 has a 2.55 inch TFT touch screen. It has a bright and clear 320 x 240 pixel resolution and can display over 65,000 colors. The i620 has a 2 megapixel camera with flash. It has a secondary VGA camera lens on the front for video calls and self portraits. It has a full QWERTY keypad for easy text entry and a scroll wheel with a center button that makes navigating through menus, documents and web pages extremely easy.
The i620 comes with 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB or ROM, and can be expanded through the use of its microSD card slot. It’s powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP 1710 (220 MHz) processor. It runs on Tri Band GSM frequencies and can transmit data across GPRS, EDGE and high speed (up to 1.8 Mbps) HSDPA networks. Its battery life is rated as having a talk time of up to 6.5 hours and a standby by time of up to 320 hours.
The Samsung i620 comes with several types of device to device connectivity functions including Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and USB support. The A2DP Bluetooth profile gives you support for stereo headsets to give your audio sound a boost in quality.
The i620, through the use of its built in Window's Mobile Media Player can playback various audio types, including MP3, AAC, AAC+, OGG, WMA and ASF files. It can playback video in WMV, MPEG4, 3GP, H.263 and H.264 format types.
The i620 is a Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard operating system powered smartphone, which means that it comes with full Windows Mobile OS functionality independent of the other phone features. It comes with a full suite of productivity software. You can view all of the popular Office document types including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. There is a PDF viewer as well. The i620 also has full email capabilities and it supports POP3 and IMAP4 HTML based email clients and push. It supports SMS (Standard Two Way), EMS and MMS (Multimedia) mobile messaging. It also fully supports the Windows Live Messaging client amongst others. The i620 has the capabilities to display WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML pages and RSS feeds through its web browsers (Internet Explorer and Opera).

The i620 is a good mobile device for all types. At the time of its release, its form was a departure from Samsung’s previous devices in the same series of smartphones.
