The Samsung i8510 Innov8 is a smartphone that packs in more advanced functionally than most of the phones that have come before it. Measuring in at 106.5 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm and weighing 140 grams, the i8510 manages to pack more into a smaller frame. The i8510 has a gorgeous 2.8 inch TFT LCD screen. It has a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and can display 16M colors. You won’t have to take those grainy mobile phone pictures anymore; the Innov8 has you covered with a full 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabilizer, video and a flash. The camera also has face, smile and blink detection. It also has a secondary lens on the back for video conferencing. A new feature in the design is the optical mouse like sensor instead of a scroll wheel or directional pad, think of it as an optical track pad.

The i8510 comes with 128 MB of RAM, and can be expanded through the use of its microSD card slot. Then again, since the Innov8 comes with 8 or 16 GB of internal storage right out of the box, you may have no need of a card for a little while. It’s powered by a blazing fast 624MHz Marvell PXA312 processor. It runs on Quad Band GSM frequencies and can transmit data across EDGE and high speed HSDPA networks. Its battery life is rated as having a talk time of up to 8.5 hours and a standby by time of 310 hours.

The Samsung i8510 Innov8 has a large amount of connectivity features. The i8510 comes with native Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 (with A2DP profile), TV out and USB support. The microSD slot has already been mentioned. The i8510 also comes in with a built in GPS receiver with A-GPS functionality. Which means you can use it in conjunction with third party software such as Tom Tom, Google Maps, Windows Live Search, etc. In conjunction with the camera, you can also geo tag your photos.

The i8510, through the use of its built in Window's Mobile Media Player can playback various audio types, including MP3, eAAC+, WMA, AMR, and RealAudio files. It can playback video in DivX, H.263, H.264, WMV, MP4 formats. It plays FM radio too. You can take all of your favorite tunes and TV shows with you wherever you go.

The i8510 is a Symbian OS v9.3, S60 3rd Edition powered smartphone. It comes with a full suite of productivity software. You can view all of the popular Office document types including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also has full email capabilities and it supports POP3 and IMAP4 HTML based email clients. It supports SMS and MMS mobile messaging, and it also fully supports various instant messaging clients. The Innov8’s has the capabilities to display WAP 2.0, xHTML and HTML through its web browser.

The Innov8 is truly a marvel of a device. It packs everything you want from a smartphone and gives you more on top. The 8 megapixel camera, the large, beautiful screen, and its generous memory and connectivity options, makes this a phone that you should not be without.
